Model detail

The detail page of a single model, with its tabs and revision management.

Model detail page

Opened by clicking a card on the Models page. It shows all the information for the selected revision of a single model.

The page is organized in tabs, which appear depending on the model type:

TabAvailable for
DetailsAll models
Error codesInverters and wind turbines
Power curveWind turbines only
Device stateInverters and wind turbines
For generic models only the Details view is available, with no tab bar.

Tab: Details

Hero section

At the top, you see:

  • Type icon and model name (Vendor + Name)
  • Revision picker — switch between revisions, search, pull updates, delete

Statistics

  • Number of plants where the model is installed
  • Number of devices using the selected revision
  • Nominal power (if available)

Revision description

If the selected revision has a description, it is shown in a dedicated card.

Technical IDs

  • Model ID — unique identifier of the selected revision (click to copy)

Installed on

A tree view showing all plants and devices where the selected revision is installed.

Tab: Error codes

Lets you manage the error code lists that can be associated with the model.

  • List selection — pick an existing list from the dropdown, or create a new list
  • Editing — with a list selected you can edit its name and its codes in the table
  • Association — associate the list with the model; when already associated, a badge indicates it
  • Activity history — opens the change log of the list
  • Deletion — delete the selected list

Unsaved changes are flagged by a floating bar with Save and Discard. Saving shows a confirmation listing the affected models; any validation errors are highlighted.

If you don't have write permissions, the tab is read-only and the edit buttons are disabled.

Tab: Power curve

Available for wind turbines. Lets you manage the model's power curves.

  • Curve selection — pick a curve from the dropdown, add a new one, set it as default, or delete it
  • Editor — edit the curve parameters and the values in the bins table, with a preview in the chart
  • Activity history — opens the change log of the curve

On wide screens the table and chart are side by side and resizable; on narrow screens they stack. Changes are confirmed with Save or reverted with Discard.

If you don't have write permissions, the tab is read-only.

Tab: Device state

Available for inverters and wind turbines. Lets you manage the state rule sets, which translate device signals into events and states.

  • Rule set selection — pick an existing rule set, create a new one, or clone the selected one
  • Rules — organized into two sub-tabs: Events and Status
  • Association — associate the rule set with the model
  • Activity history — opens the change log of the rule set
  • Deletion — delete the selected rule set

Rules are evaluated top to bottom: the first one that matches determines the outcome. The last rule has no condition and applies when none of the previous ones matches.

Among the operators of a condition there are also Invalid / missing data and Valid / present data: they react to the absence of the datum instead of to its value. On these two the Not button is disabled, because the polarity is already in the operator. Missing or invalid data match no value operator, not even a negated one.

Saving shows a confirmation listing the affected models.

The rules of a target cannot read the variable that target produces: Events rules cannot reference WTG Event (on wind models) or INV Event (on photovoltaic models), and Status rules cannot reference WTG Status or INV Status. That would be a circular dependency, so the condition is reported as an error and blocks saving. Status rules may read the event tag instead: that is the normal chain between the two targets.

Verify on a device

Picks a real device among those using the model and checks that every variable referenced by the conditions exists on it. Variables that are not found are listed, and the conditions using them are highlighted.

The selector shows the device as Section - Device · Plant. Verification runs on the last saved version of the rule set, so save before launching it.

Simulation

Answers the opposite question: given certain conditions, which rule would apply? Open it with Simulate; it needs neither a device nor a save, as it evaluates the rules on screen, even unsaved ones.

  • Input variables (left) — one row per variable referenced by the conditions of the target, with a value and an Invalid toggle. A variable still to be set has its field highlighted.
  • Trace (right) — the rules read-only, with ✓ or ✗ on every condition and the forced value it read. The winning rule is highlighted and marked Applied; the ones below it are Not evaluated.
  • Outcome — the event code or status produced, with the number of the rule that determined it.

The outcome updates on every change, but only once every variable is set: "invalid" is a legitimate value, an untouched variable is not. The values are kept for that rule set, so after changing a rule you can come back and try again without entering them; Clear values starts over.

A $TYPE condition is a single input variable: the forced value applies to both the realtime and the historical context. If the same name is also referenced with the realtime timebase M, both rows carry a warning, because in realtime they are the same variable and different values cannot coexist.
If you don't have write permissions, the tab is read-only. Simulation stays available: it changes nothing.

Revision management

Each model can have multiple revisions. Revisions represent different versions of the same model.

Revision picker

The revision picker (in the Details tab) allows you to:

  • Switch between revisions — click on a revision to view its details
  • Search revisions by number or description
  • Pull updates — check the repository for newer revisions
  • Delete a revision (if not in use)

The latest revision is marked with a green badge.

Update a single model

  1. Open the revision picker dropdown
  2. Click Update
  3. If a newer revision exists in the repository, it is automatically imported
  4. If already up to date, a notification confirms it
You must be authenticated with the repository to check for and pull updates.

Delete a single revision

  1. Open the revision picker dropdown
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm the deletion in the warning dialog
Deleting a revision is permanent and cannot be undone. If it is the last revision of a model, the model is removed entirely.
You cannot delete a revision that is currently used by devices. The delete button is disabled and a tooltip shows how many devices are using it.
